Moving Stories provides reading material for local, inner city, elementary school children in order to help foster literacy.
What We Do
We work with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage to collect books from individuals who are moving homes. We then donate these books to local, DC elementary schools. Moving Stories also works in affiliation with Reading Partners, an organization whose mission is to “help children become lifelong readers by empowering communities to provide individualized instruction with measurable results,” and Teach for America Corps Members by providing these teachers with reading materials for their classroom libraries.
