Nathalie WeissNathalie Weiss established Moving Stories in 2009 as a high school book drive in the Holton-Arms School community. Due to the success of this drive and one the following year, Nathalie founded Moving Stories in order to provide year round donations from a broader community. She invited Julia Hinsch and Mary Waller to help create Moving Stories in the summer of 2011. Nathalie passionately believes in the importance of literacy for all children and that moving stories into children’s hands can open the door to a better future. |
Julia HinschJulia began working with Moving Stories in April 2011. She helps organize the books and manages who receives the donations. Julia recognizes the importance of learning to read in early childhood, and hopes to see literacy in children improve. Julia is dedicated to improving the lives of children everywhere, and hopes to continue working with children in the future. |
Mary WallerMary began working with Moving Stories in June 2011. She helps organize book donations and updates the Moving Stories website. A DC resident herself and former public elementary school student, Mary relates deeply to the mission statement of Moving Stories and finds great excitement in the futures of both Moving Stories and of the local school children. Mary is passionate about assisting children in need. |
